Shashi Steel Pipe Works (SSPW) is located in Jingzhou city, Hubei Province, at the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Affiliated with SINOPEC, SSPW is a professional manufacturer of both spiral and longitudinal submerged arc welded pipes.
 With continuous growth and development nearly 30 years, SSPW has grown up into one of the primary pipe-welding plants in China, with the biggest scale and the most advanced equipment. Initially established by Petrochemical Department as a pipe-manufacturing plant assisting the Sichuan-Wuhan gas-transmission pipeline project in 1975, the plany now owns two pipe-making workshops: a spiral pipe-making workshop with two sets of pipe-making units ( annual capacity: 120,000 tons), and a longitudinal pipe-making workshop with a longitudinal submerged welded pipe-making production line imported from Germany SMS MEER in 2002 (annual capacity: 200,000 tons).SSPW currently employs about 1,100 workers with 30% professional technicians among them. The plant is equiped with solid technology and high quality administration. It obtained API certificate in 1985 and GB/T19002-ISO9002 quality certificate in 1995 ( issued by China Classification Society Quality Assurance Center). The plant can produce steel pipes according to either API, GB/T9711.1 or GB/T9711.2 standard. In addition, the plant has its own internal and external pipe-coating lines. It can perform external coating with epoxy powder, PE and PP as well as internal coating according to national and international standards, with a coating capacity of 450 square meters per hour. SSPW covers an area of 640,000 square meters and has a total asset value of 500,000,000RMB. It owns two company-own railway-line and a Yangtze wharf, greatly facilitating cargo transportation to and from the plant. < Back to Facility Locations
