PPSC INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. considers SAFETY to be of paramount importance above all else. In pursuing this subscription, we have in place an existing Health and Safety Programme which emphasises on improving employee awareness and capability, accident prevention, effective guided supervision and management involvement and capability.

Our commitment and excellent safety track record has earned recognition from the petroleum industry. Among the safety awards received by the company are as follows.

1. PPSC INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. was presented with a Gold Award at the Petronas Group HSE Week, held on 7 June 2000.

Since 1993, HSE Award have been given out annually as part of the Petronas Group HSE Week programme. The awards are given as a recognition of commitment to good HSE management and performance.

One Gold and 2 Merit Awards are given for each category. This year alone, 55 of Petronas' contractors nationwide were invited to participate.

The Gold Award, a 24 carat gold plated miniature safety helmet, signifies prestige and excellence in HSE management. Evaluation of submission is by a panel comprising representatives from Petronas Holding Company Units. Verification of the evaluation team's findings is conducted by an independent panel comprising Senior Management personnel and external members from DOSH, DOE, NIOSH, MSOSH and SIRIM.

To be considered for Gold, a minimum score of 70% was to be recorded for 5 critical elements.

	MLNG Dua Gas Supply Project from Sarawak Shell Berhad for "Achieving The Target of Zero LTI" in 1995.		Seligi F & Tapis E Pipeline from Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated for "Excellent Safety Performance Project Completion" in 1998.

	Tapis E Linepipe Coating from Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated for "Safety Performance Without LTI" in 1997.		Contract DU 3014 from Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated for "Safety Performance Without Any Lost Incidents" in 1996.

	Minor Project Category from Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated for "Excellent Safety Performance in Execution of EPMI Projects" in 1999.		Contract DU 3014 from Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated for "Gold Star Project Completion for 249,000 Manhours Without LTI" in 1996.
